Overview.
We developed and implemented a completely new robot system, which was the first and only of its kind in Denmark. The robot system at Scandi Byg has been developed with the goal to manufacture elements for floors, walls and ceilings, which are assembled into finished modules for homes, businesses or institutions etc.
Award winning Robot for ScandiByg
Scandi Byg is the Danish market leader in industrially manufactured construction, and are specialists in the development, production and construction of modular construction.
The design is based on user-centered design methods and user research. Comprehensive analysis in close coordination with operators and experts were executed. The results were validated with Usability tests at the customer’s site.
The innovative thing about the robot system is at the same time that it has a significantly higher degree of flexibility than traditional systems. It is possible to produce individual and unique solutions based on architectural drawings, and the plant is thus not limited to, for example, ten standard elements, but can instead produce specially adapted elements that are completely tailored to the individual project.
In 2019 the robot system won the innovation award, at the Building Awards in Denmark.
